Proof of God's Love

"Gideon said to God, 'If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised -- look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.' "And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew -- a bowlful of water" (Judges 6:36-38).

This is a wonderful story and to know God responded to what Gideon suggested as proof of His will for Gideon, and Israel is powerful. But should we put God to the test or require Him to show us a sign of His cooperation in helping us? Definitely not! We should never expect , or challenge God to show us some kind of proof of His will because certainly God is under no obligation to do so.

Without any doubt I believe God listens to our petitions and requests, and He responds to what we pray for. Also, I believe His will and our prayers will many times agree; our prayers will be answered just as we prayed they would be. Still God rules; His will is law. After we have prayed, we may not understand why our prayers weren't answered, but we can be sure God's will for us will always be best for us!

Our proof of God's love for us and His involvement in our lives is Jesus. In (Judges 17:31) it is written; "He has given proof  of this to all men by raising Him from the dead."

Jesus is all the proof I need. He will always be the morning dew on my fleece.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

In Heaven

We will experience a sense of perfect joy There will also be perfect peace and fulfillment because of the divine presence of God. Our worship of the Father will be without distraction. Forever and ever we will concentrate our worship only on Him; our loving, caring God who is, and was, and forever will be our Creator and Sustainer. Never will we experience exhaustion as we serve and interact with Him on a very personal level. “And His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3). In Revelation it is revealed we will govern with Christ and rule over all that is brought under His dominion. “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). And it is written; “And they [his servants] shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). Ours will be a perfect fellowship like that of the Father and the Son. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be ...
