So What About: TODAY?

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness" (Hebrews 3:13).

This same Scripture (v.14, 15) goes on to say; "We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. As has just been said: 'Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.'"

As we consider ourselves; as "believers," the faithful, and Christians we are also unmistakably, present-time examples of Christ. This means we are to love as Christ did, forgive as Christ did, teach as Christ did, and admonish sin as Christ did. He has become, and is our perpetual example.

Just because we once believed, and felt the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, but today that feeling may not be as strong, we should not consider ourselves less a part of Him than we were before. Our Christ is consistent, He is always the same. His love for us never wanes, neither should our love for Him. We may at times decrease, but He will only increase. Like the Scripture says: "We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first."

Today, try to remember who you are, and whose you are! You are a cherished son or daughter of the most high God. Today, share Christ with someone.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

In Heaven

We will experience a sense of perfect joy There will also be perfect peace and fulfillment because of the divine presence of God. Our worship of the Father will be without distraction. Forever and ever we will concentrate our worship only on Him; our loving, caring God who is, and was, and forever will be our Creator and Sustainer. Never will we experience exhaustion as we serve and interact with Him on a very personal level. “And His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3). In Revelation it is revealed we will govern with Christ and rule over all that is brought under His dominion. “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). And it is written; “And they [his servants] shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). Ours will be a perfect fellowship like that of the Father and the Son. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be ...
