I have a Father who calls me His own. He is a God of
infinite kindness and compassion. When I am going through difficult times He
sympathizes with my weakness and my concerns. When I am hurt, He comforts me.
My compassionate Father is never distant or removed from me.
Because He loved me long before I was born, He came to live among my people so
we could see how much He cares for us. He knew of my sins and that I just can’t
help myself sometimes. So, not wanting me to be lost to sin, doomed to death,
He sacrificed His own life on a terrible, tortuous tree, all for me.
Today I can go to my Father tell Him of my troubles and I
will see His gentleness and be comforted. My Father Loves me and I know it
without any doubt. I love my Father!
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has
compassion on those who fear Him (Psalm 103:13).
I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for
which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us – yes, the
many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to His
compassion and many kindnesses (Isaiah 63:7).
“Though the mountains
be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be
shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion
for you (Isaiah 54:10).
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for
His compassions never fail (Lamentations 3:22).
