What Can I Believe

I am so sorry folks for the late entry of today's blog message. I got up very early this morning with a full day's worth of priorities and just forgot to post last night's message. Again, I am so sorry to mess with your schedules and readership. I hope you will forgive me? Here is my intended message for today; Tuesday, March 10, 2012.

What Can I Believe

We can believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. We can believe He came to earth to save us; save us from all sin and eternal death. These should be our foremost beliefs. But, you may be saying; “I know, but what can I believe regarding His healing of my disease?” Jesus died not only for our sins, but also for our infirmities. The Bible tells us so; (Psalm 103:2, 3) “…Forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” So then you say; “I know all that! What I want to know is; am I going to be healed of my diabetes, or my cancer?” or whatever else might be troubling you. We can’t know the mind of God. I know this sounds like an escape clause or an excuse for not answering your very serious concern specifically, but it isn’t intended to be. You understand we cannot know the will of God -- He alone determines our coming and our going; our rising up and our sitting down.

What we can understand and believe is; He is our God! We can believe He loves you without measure! I know that He does! He is aware of everything about you, how you feel, and what are your fears, and what is hurting you now. God doesn’t promise us life without difficulties; we will have difficulties. There are many other forces at work in our world. Satan would have us believe we have no hope and that God has left us alone. Satan is a liar! I cast out this evil thinking in your life right now, in the mighty name of Jesus! You can believe and pray He will be with you in all your tribulations, helping you to survive this imperfect world. Our God is a God of miracles! He can heal us instantaneously or He may perfect our healing over a longer period of time. We must trust Him, having all faith that He is in control of our welfare.

In (Jeremiah 29:11); which is one of my most favorite Scriptures, we read what our Lord has said; “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you seek me with all of your heart.” This is so very true! And, I do believe what He says here with all my heart! I am convinced that the fulfillment of our wellness is centered in our faith in Jesus Christ! Just calling out His precious name, JESUS, aloud has tremendous power!

Yes, continue to follow your doctor’s instructions! Yes, continue to take your doctor’s recommended medications for the wellness plan he or she has set for you. But, “forget not all His (God’s) benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases!” Your faith in Jesus, your trust in Him, and your prayers to Him WILL work miracles for you!

Apostates Predicted

Sensual persons who cause divisions   I quote from the Book of Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, who was addressing those who were called , sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ. In verses 16 through 19, Jude warned of apostates who would come around and make themselves known. He described them as grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts , to use Jude’s own words. He went on to describe them as those who would be mouthing swelling words, flattering to gain advantage . Jude continued saying, “But you beloved, remember the words which were spoken before the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. Fast-forward now to today; to our present time, the year 2012. How is this book (Jude) of very few words; the little book which precedes the last book of the Bible; Revelation relevant to our (contemporary...

Two Kinds of Wisdom

That which is earthly, and that which is heavenly The Bible speaks of us being exposed to two kinds of wisdom; one that subjects us to bitterness, envy and selfish ambition, e.g. earthly wisdom , and that which comes from heaven which is first of all pure; peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. In (James 3:13) this servant of God, asked , “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.” Which form of wisdom will you profess; that which is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil or that which is of heaven? At the time of Jesus’ birth, three wise men from the east came to Jerusalem seeking the one who was now born King of the Jews . King Herod called upon these three to “Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.” he said in; (Matthew 2:8) -- the three wise men were told by He...

A Promise is a Promise

When you were a child did your parents ever promise to take you somewhere special for your birthday? Maybe they promised you could stay up late with them the night of your birthday? You never doubted their promises did you? I mean, a promise is a promise. If they told you they were going to do something you just knew it was going to happen! I remember how excited I was when my parents promised me something and they gave it to me!  I’ll never forget how I trusted them. Neither can I forget the promises God has made and kept for me in my lifetime. He has always been faithful to deliver what He has promised to me. Sometimes the evil one tries to convince me God hasn’t delivered though. He tries to convince me God changes His mind. Its times like this that I will to remain strong. I read what God says and declare how great my God is! Just because we don’t see His fulfillment according to our understanding at that particular time does not mean He hasn’t done it or isn’t going to do ...
