What Is A Day

“With the LORD a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day” (2 Peter 3:8).

So what’s our big hurry? Have you ever watched the news when they show the traffic report of a large city from a helicopter—all the cars speeding along on the highways diverting off on feeders and exits going north, south, east, and west and doing eighty miles an hour—looking like millions of busy little ants. Busy, busy, busy chattering on our cell phones, doing what we think is vitally important—trying to make the most of our day.

Wait a second what’s wrong with this picture? Are we truly making the most of our day(s)? I hope we are. If we are starting our day with a prayer acknowledging God’s plan for our day, and during the day we stop every once in a while to thank Him for all He has given us. If at the end of the day we get down on our knees and thank Him for our jobs, our spouses, our children, or friends, the homes we live in, our financial resources, our health, our nation, our leaders. If every chance we get during the day we pray for Jerusalem, and His peace in the world.

What is truly, no vitally, important about our day is that we first honor our LORD, Jesus Christ thanking Him for our salvation; acknowledging that without Him our day would no doubt be hell. Thank you Jesus for saving our day!

I pray you have a blessed day today!

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

In Heaven

We will experience a sense of perfect joy There will also be perfect peace and fulfillment because of the divine presence of God. Our worship of the Father will be without distraction. Forever and ever we will concentrate our worship only on Him; our loving, caring God who is, and was, and forever will be our Creator and Sustainer. Never will we experience exhaustion as we serve and interact with Him on a very personal level. “And His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3). In Revelation it is revealed we will govern with Christ and rule over all that is brought under His dominion. “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). And it is written; “And they [his servants] shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). Ours will be a perfect fellowship like that of the Father and the Son. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be ...
