Secret Wisdom

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God

Most likely you have heard other Christians make a statement about their faith or something God has imparted to them by their saying; “I know, that I know, that I know.”  This statement attempts to explain something we know but can’t necessarily describe to others. It’s an understanding of a secret wisdom only God can give us. This wisdom of such matters as God wants us to know is given to us by His Holy Spirit. Scripture says God destined us to have this hidden knowledge long before time began. In (1 Corinthians 2:9) “No eye has seen, / no ear has heard, / no mind has conceived / what God has prepared for those who love His-- following in (v.10) …but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.”

We can and shall rejoice in our understanding, our secret wisdom, because we have been given this wonderful gift knowing that God has an indescribable love for us. Isn’t this truly awesome? With His love comes His concern for our welfare, our happiness and our privileged relationship with Him! We are blessed, my friends! Pity the poor man or woman who does not or will not, accept these things that are spiritually discerned. The Bible says such things of the spirit that are from God are but foolishness to him or her.

So, knowing many thoughts of God are secretly revealed to us spiritually by His Holy Spirit, if we want to know even more of how God thinks about us we have His Word, the Bible. In (v.15) of (1 Corinthians 2) the Apostle Paul says, “The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?”

Paul closes this chapter by saying, “But we have the mind of Christ.”

We are a blessed people, who know Jesus Christ. Our inheritance is that of a King, and this wonderful knowledge we have of the Holy Spirit about God almighty is certainly, and without any doubt awesome!

APPROVED

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). (2 Timothy 2:14-26) instructs those whom He knows are His ; and don’t we aspire to be recognized as such, to be approved by God? He tells us to avoid godless chatter (gossip), because we will become more and more ungodly. God warns that what we say can affect others, even destroying the faith of some. Heaven forbid we should say anything to do such damage!   Approved we flee the evil desires of youth we pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments because we know they only produce quarrels. As God’s servants we mustn’t quarrel; instead we must be kind, able to teach, and be not resentful.   Approved we are to gently instruct those who oppose us, hoping God will grant them repentance and lead them to the knowledge of His truth. Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
