One Sacrifice

There is a simple little verse that illustrates our accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior, in other words, our being born again. It goes like this; “Born once…die twice; born twice…die once.” This simply reveals that unless we are born again, we will die twice; once as a physical death and then a second spiritual death. To only die once all we must do is accept Christ. Jesus made it so simple for us when He made His one sacrifice on the cross for all of our sins.

In Hebrews 10:11 the Bible speaks about all those who go about doing what they believe are their good works, and making sacrifices for what they think will gain them forgiveness for their sins, but we learn as we read this scripture their efforts are all futile since there is only one way to receive God’s forgiveness and that is to accept His Son, Jesus. When we do we are then forgiven, and we are born again!

The Bible says in (Hebrews 10:14-18); Because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them \ after that time, says the Lord. / I will put my laws into their hearts, / and I will write them on their minds.” Then He adds: “Their sins and lawless acts / I will remember no more.”

What a confidence we have as Christians! What joy we have in Christ Jesus! We are saved…we are saved…we are SAVED! We must go and tell the world!

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

In Heaven

We will experience a sense of perfect joy There will also be perfect peace and fulfillment because of the divine presence of God. Our worship of the Father will be without distraction. Forever and ever we will concentrate our worship only on Him; our loving, caring God who is, and was, and forever will be our Creator and Sustainer. Never will we experience exhaustion as we serve and interact with Him on a very personal level. “And His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3). In Revelation it is revealed we will govern with Christ and rule over all that is brought under His dominion. “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). And it is written; “And they [his servants] shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). Ours will be a perfect fellowship like that of the Father and the Son. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be ...
