Morning Light

Each day is your new opportunity offered by God

Good morning! “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice in it!” These are cheerful, uplifting words that help us begin each of our new days with sweet tasting hope and fragrant anticipation of all the what wonderful things our Lord has in store for us today! God does have wonderful things in store for you today. He always does. We are the ones who turn sweet wine into bitter vinegar with our sorry attitudes and our negative habits! We have a choice as to how we will start this day, wouldn’t you agree? We can begin this day in darkness, or we can open our sleepy eyes to the glory of Jesus; who is the light of our world!

Here God’s Word provides our encouragement to help us begin this new day: “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, / Your healing shall spring forth speedily, / And your righteousness shall go before you; / The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. / Then you shall call, and the Lord shall answer; / You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am’ “(Isaiah 58:8, 9).

Be encouraged my friend! Your God in heaven has caused His light to shine upon you. You are His new beginning, and He has great plans for you today. Pray to Him; then listen for His instructions having great faith.

APPROVED

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). (2 Timothy 2:14-26) instructs those whom He knows are His ; and don’t we aspire to be recognized as such, to be approved by God? He tells us to avoid godless chatter (gossip), because we will become more and more ungodly. God warns that what we say can affect others, even destroying the faith of some. Heaven forbid we should say anything to do such damage!   Approved we flee the evil desires of youth we pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments because we know they only produce quarrels. As God’s servants we mustn’t quarrel; instead we must be kind, able to teach, and be not resentful.   Approved we are to gently instruct those who oppose us, hoping God will grant them repentance and lead them to the knowledge of His truth. Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
