God’s spirit poured
out
Very early this morning, I woke up with the urging of the
Holy Spirit to prophesy. Although the Lord is always speaking to me, He sometimes
calls me to prophesy, He does so only on rare occasions. This is one of those
occasions. I will tell you of only of what I heard today. First, allow me to
share some of what God has said regarding prophesies, since in the church today
we do not hear so much about prophesy.
In (Joel 2:28) the Lord said, “And it shall come to pass
afterward that I will pour out My spirit on all flesh; your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams…”
The Lord only said, “Oh, my little
lambs.” This is all I heard He
say, but I know He is very capable of saying plenty in just a very few words.
As I heard Him speak these words my mind was caused by the Holy Spirit to
recall this Scripture from; (John 10:25) when Jesus said, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works
that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness to me. But you do not believe,
because you are not of my sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear my voice, and
I know them, and they follow me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall
never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who
has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one is able to snatch them out of
My Father’s hand. I and My father are one.”
Our world today shows every sign of collapsing. The wars in Middle
East and many other countries, and the degeneration of ethics, morals and
respect for each other bear the importance for us to pay very close attention
to what is happening to us. I believe the Lord is speaking of His love for His
people. He knows what is going to happen to us. He is grieved to watch us go
about our lives as if there is no tomorrow; doing what we do and mostly not praising Him and worshipping Him as
we should, as He wants us to do. We are His sheep, His little lambs and He is crying out to us all! “Come back to Me, all My little ones!” He is pleading. Mine is not
a prophesy of doom, but rather an urgent pleading of our Savior who is saying
listen to His voice, know that He is God, and that He wants to protect us from
all harm. Come back to praise Him. Worship Him. His is worthy of all our
praise!
I am no great prophet, no one special. I only offer what I hear
Him say. If these words bear witness to you in your spirit pray for His
expounding of the few words I heard this morning since I believe His voice is
calling out to you and the world.
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely;
and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” (1
Thessalonians 5:23).
