Faith is released by words

What we have to say about our healing can lift us up or bring us down, faith is released by our words – whether it’s faith to be saved, faith to be healed, or faith for any one of God’s provisions. So it’s important that we learn to use words that work for us, not against us. God Word says our words will either make us a victor or keep us captive.

Words like these will make you a victor:

“I am more than a conqueror through Him that loved me and gave Himself for me” [Romans 8:37]. “If God be for me, who can be against me?” [Romans 8:31].

“My Father is greater than all” [John 10:29]. “The name of Jesus has authority and power in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth – among angels, men, and demons. And that Name belongs to me” [Phillipians 2:9, 10; Matthew 28;18]. Speaking the right words – God’s Word – will set you free and keep you free.

But your words can also keep you captive. If you keep talking about how you are defeated, saying “I’ve tried praying, I’m still not healed” or “I stay sick all the time” things will stay the same for you, or get worse.

You see, friends, if we are defeated, we’re defeated by our own lips. People will lay their problems off on the devil or on someone else; sometimes they lay them off on their preacher. But let’s put the blame where it belongs; on ourselves! If I am defeated, I’m the one responsible. If you are defeated you are responsible. Why? We are defeated by our own words. We can speak words to take us up or bring us down.

There is a verse in Proverbs having to do with words that is a favorite of mine. [Proverbs 6:2] says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” In my King James Bible it reads, “Thou art taken captive with the words of thy mouth.”

Talking about doubts and fears will destroy your faith. But talking about the healing God is doing for you will increase you faith. Claim your healing, believe in it. Remember, your words are important. Use them to work for you as you receive by faith everything God has already provided for you – your healing.

APPROVED

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). (2 Timothy 2:14-26) instructs those whom He knows are His ; and don’t we aspire to be recognized as such, to be approved by God? He tells us to avoid godless chatter (gossip), because we will become more and more ungodly. God warns that what we say can affect others, even destroying the faith of some. Heaven forbid we should say anything to do such damage!   Approved we flee the evil desires of youth we pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments because we know they only produce quarrels. As God’s servants we mustn’t quarrel; instead we must be kind, able to teach, and be not resentful.   Approved we are to gently instruct those who oppose us, hoping God will grant them repentance and lead them to the knowledge of His truth. Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
