Faith Works!

A woman with faith is healed

During a Wednesday night Bible service several weeks ago, a certain woman who comes to church regularly had a serious cough.  She coughed so frequently she would have to get up and go outside several times during the service to keep from disturbing everyone including our pastor. It was obvious her cough was a not getting better because she had been coughing like this for several weeks. I felt sorry for her but like everyone else I just tried with compassion to ignore the distraction her coughing was creating.

A couple of Sunday’s ago, during our morning service this same woman was again experiencing her usual coughing problem when I heard God speak to me in my spirit concerning her sickness. God said to me, “Read to her from my Word (Ezekiel 37:5).” And He gave me three reasons for her cough; filter, open toxic container and pet. God was giving her a prescription to heal her. I wrote what He gave me on a small piece of paper and after the service I gave it to her with the explanation of what God had told me concerning her illness during the service. I asked if she had faith in what God was doing for her healing her cough and she emphatically said, “Yes!” I then asked her to consider God’s suggestions, read His Scripture, and take whatever steps she could to satisfy His recommendations. I told her I believed God was going to heal her cough, she said she did too!

Last Sunday, the lady was in church as usual, but this Sunday was different. She was not coughing! Not once during our service did she cough. In fact, I hadn’t even noticed her at all as she sits somewhere back behind my wife and me. After the service though she came up to me, tugging on my arm and she declared, “He healed me! God healed my cough! I did all that you said He told you, and I read His Scripture in Ezekiel and I am healed!” I celebrated with her telling her I was so happy for her and yes, it was confirmed in my spirit she was healed! We then both praised God, and thanked Him for His wonderful healing. This woman, like the woman in the Bible had great faith and God healed her. This woman is truly a testimony that faith works. I believe, and convinced faith will heal you too.

Works are good, but without His Word nothing can be done!

APPROVED

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). (2 Timothy 2:14-26) instructs those whom He knows are His ; and don’t we aspire to be recognized as such, to be approved by God? He tells us to avoid godless chatter (gossip), because we will become more and more ungodly. God warns that what we say can affect others, even destroying the faith of some. Heaven forbid we should say anything to do such damage!   Approved we flee the evil desires of youth we pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments because we know they only produce quarrels. As God’s servants we mustn’t quarrel; instead we must be kind, able to teach, and be not resentful.   Approved we are to gently instruct those who oppose us, hoping God will grant them repentance and lead them to the knowledge of His truth. Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
