My Unbelief

As a Christian, I believe God loves me and wants the best for me. Certainly, in His Word (Psalm 103:3 NIV) the Psalmist wrote; Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits – who forgives all your (my) sins and heals all your (my) diseases, who redeems your (my) life from the pit…. I know this, really I do! Still, there are times when I don’t see God actually doing what I expect Him to do; to save me from my trouble; to provide me with what I want; and to provide the healing release I expect.

Before I became a Christian I really had a problem with faith, much less be able to cling to any promises God made to me; regardless of whether I was a Christian or not! Therefore, I understand how we can have moments of unbelief, or we can just flat out not trust what God has promised us. This is Satan at work, big time!  “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men” Jesus said, in (Matthew 16:23 NIV).

I have several friends who I know are very ill now. These are friends I have known for quite a while; people whom I have known to be good, faithful, committed Christians; friends whom I have loved, and admired as fellow believers in Christ. But, I see them suffering today not only from their illnesses, but also their measure of unbelief in the benefits of our God; He, who loves us beyond all measure!
I have no explanation of when, where, or even if God will allow us to know of our healing. I too have problems at times with my own unbelief. Still, my faith is strong. I am reminded of the Scripture (Isaiah 55:8) where God declares; “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways.”

God is God, and He owes us no explanation of what He does, or doesn’t do. This may sound trite; forgive me. I will make no excuses here. I just want to be a servant to Jesus, and do what I believe His Holy Spirit is prompting me to do right now. And, that is; encourage everyone who reads this message, that He (God) knows our pain, our fear. He understands our being tempted to disbelieve. He too was tempted by Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-4.) Don’t give in to Satan’s schemes! Don’t allow unbelief to rob you of God’s blessings for you.

(Mark 9:24) tells the story of a man from a crowd, who brought his son; who could not speak and who suffered from seizures, to Jesus to be healed. The man had exclaimed to Jesus; “I do believe; help me with my unbelief!” Shall we not also say to this awesome, merciful God; “O Lord, I do believe in your miraculous healing; please help me with my own unbelief!”

Dear friend; reader of this; my blog message, be strong in your faith. Don’t give up on our Lord; Jehovah Rapha (our healer.) Your healing is part of God’s plan. I believe He (is) healing you even now. Be blessed, in His Holy name.

Walk Of Faith

I wonder, do you think we miss God’s purpose for our lives because we are waiting to learn more of what God has planned for us? Truth is; God isn’t required to lay it all out for us. All He must do if He has a plan for our lives is to show us how and then enable us to do it. It seems when we don’t know all the particulars, life is too perplexing. We think, “ but I need to know just what God wants me to do.” Abram (later known as Abraham) probably had thoughts just like this. God asked Abram to go somewhere he wasn’t familiar with and he most likely thought of asking God, Lord, must I go somewhere I don’t know, can’t I just stay here in Haran? However, God’s plan for Abram was far greater than anything Abram could ever imagine. Our personal feelings, vision, and human reasoning will always get in the way of our walk of faith . God teaches us to have faith in Him by placing us in positions where our feelings, vision, and common knowledge don’t work for us. Haven’t you ex...
Over the past few years I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write what He has given me; many times I was awakened in the middle of the night to write them down. I hope you will take look at these brief messages which can be found in the "sidebar" of this blog under the heading of "BLOG ARCHIVE." There may be something in these that personally speaks to you. I pray there is. Thanks for reading my blog and may God richly bless you.

In Heaven

We will experience a sense of perfect joy There will also be perfect peace and fulfillment because of the divine presence of God. Our worship of the Father will be without distraction. Forever and ever we will concentrate our worship only on Him; our loving, caring God who is, and was, and forever will be our Creator and Sustainer. Never will we experience exhaustion as we serve and interact with Him on a very personal level. “And His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3). In Revelation it is revealed we will govern with Christ and rule over all that is brought under His dominion. “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15). And it is written; “And they [his servants] shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). Ours will be a perfect fellowship like that of the Father and the Son. “That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be ...
