Life Through The Spirit


We are free from the law of sin and death because of Jesus Christ. The law of the Spirit of life; which is Jesus, has set us free. God sent His Son in the likeness of a sinful man to be our sin offering. So, no longer then do we live according to the sinful nature but according to His Spirit
.
Thinking about this, I am reminded of (1 Corinthians 13:11) where the Bible says; “When I was a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now, I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.“ The Holy Spirit provides us wisdom to discern how we are to live before God.

The Spirit of God says as we live, we must love and not condemn. The Word of God shows us the way, and we acknowledge the Spirit’s wisdom by following His way. Paul, the apostle, said in (1 Corinthians 14:20) “Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.
We are given a choice; a choice to choose wisdom or ignorance, and life and death because of the sacrifice of our Lord on the cross. Therefore, these days, let us remember His sacrifice, and carefully consider all Jesus did for us. No longer are we condemned by the law, rather, we are saved by His Spirit."

All praise and glory are Yours, O God!

By His Authority

God has given His authority. God’s plan for authority has been given to His people: authority in the church (1 Peter 5:1-2) which says, “shepherd the flock of God which is among you;” authority in the home (Colossians 3:18-25,) “Wives submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord, as is fitting in the Lord;” authority in your workplace (Ephesians 6:5-9) “Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters…; and authority in civil government (Romans    13:1-7) “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God….” Authority as planned by God seems awkward and unfitting in today’s societies – not that His plan is inappropriate, certainly this is not true. It is more that people have deviated from God’s plan to what seems more suited to their personal lives for whatever reasons they justify. Two Kinds of Wisdom

That which is earthly, and that which is heavenly The Bible speaks of us being exposed to two kinds of wisdom; one that subjects us to bitterness, envy and selfish ambition, e.g. earthly wisdom , and that which comes from heaven which is first of all pure; peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. In (James 3:13) this servant of God, asked , “Who is wise and understanding among you?
