“Everyone that believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God is born of God ” (1 John 5:1). You are born of God, therefore you are His child. Be encouraged in your troubles for everyone who is born of God overcomes the world. Read; (1 John 5:4). “Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you must do also” (Colossians 3:12, 13). Today, the Lord forgives you of all anger and bitterness. You are now created a new man or woman able to example His love; which is the bond of perfection. Bitterness or resentment, they most often go together. They are destructive feelings derived from hatred, cynicism and ill will towards someone else. Bitterness is brought on by resentment. Resentment is pent-up, unresolved anger that when left unresolved can bring on emotional and physical illness for both parties. Anger is sin in God’s eyes. Sometimes things happen between us and a friend, a stranger, or even a family member. They did us wrong or we didn’t like their attitude toward us for some reason. Then the next thing we know we ...

“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:2). Even as life seems confusing your faith sustains you. Accept that God is holy and just. His deliverance comes to you now as your patience has pleased Him. Anticipate His blessing soon to come. Why did You allow this curse to come upon me? We likely have all asked God why at some point in our lives. I am thankful that God is patient with me ! “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). Depression robs us of all that God wants for us. It is a destructive feeling that can multiply itself until it consumes our every thought. Depression feeds on negative thinking and may not stop until it overwhelms us causing us to feel all is hopeless. Depression will rob us of our feelings of self-worth, our ability to love and be loved, self-respect. I believe it can most importantly rob us of our very faith in God! “Satan get behind me!” Jesus proclaimed. For sure depression is a weapon of the evil one and he tries to use it on us all the time. You can overcome depression. Fill your mind with the things of God – read and study your Bible every single day. You will gain confidence and inner peace by learning how God thinks, His will and His ways. “Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.” (Isaiah 59:1). Adam separated himself and all of mankind from the peace of God by his original sin. By his one sinful act he destroyed the wonderful, daily fellowship he had with his Creator and ever since humanity has been trying to re-establish this relationship of peace with its Maker. We have been trying to blot out this curse from Adam’s sin against God. And, since we are separated from God we cannot automatically experience His healing peace. But, just as there is hopeless death in Adam, we can have salvation through Christ! (Read Romans 5: 12-18.) Surely, our way of finding peace with God does not work! (Proverbs 14:12) says, “There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death.” We must admit that ever since Adam, we (humanity) have been trying to rise above our confusion, our sickness and our separation from our heavenly Father. In Jesus’ time there was a pool that was popular with the Jews of Jerusalem. The pool was known as; Bethesda which in Aramaic means “place of poured out water.” Many who were disabled came to lie beside this pool and to enter it when the water was “stirred.” Jesus found an invalid man there and asked him if he wanted to be healed and the man explained he had no one to help him into the water. Jesus then told the man to pick up his mat and walk and the man picked up his mat and walked away healed without even going into the water! The reputation of that healing pool at Bethesda must have all started because someone back then exercised a higher level of faith for healing that caused God to perform it. God set the stage for the time when His Son would come to that very pool and proclaim healing through Himself! Others would follow thereafter believing they too would be healed in the " quickened" water. It was always their faith that caused them to be healed. Today, ...

These two words; faith and trust are similar yet they are also different. We will have levels of both as we depend on God for our healing. The dictionary defines faith as: unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence. It defines trust as; firm belief or confidence of or in the honesty, integrity, reliability, justice, etc. of another person or thing. As I have "faith," I believe something is or will be so. When I "trust" I have complete reliance in someone or something else. Therefore, I believe, we will exercise both when we desire healing. My emphasis in this message is offering reason for trusting in the Lord. The Bible provides our best reason for trusting God.
